Logan Paul claims he has been in touch with his lookalike after Nate Diaz choked him out during a viral street fight.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer offered to fund Rodney Peterson’s lawsuit against the UFC legend, but it turns out his money wasn’t needed as he has a legal team working for him for free.

“I reached out to the guy, and I was like, ‘This is f***** up,’ like it was actually hard to watch,” Paul said on his Impaulsive podcast.
“I felt bad for him, and he looks like me. We’ve got to protect our kind. So, I offered to fund the lawsuit against Nate Diaz.
“It turns out the legal team we connected him to is taking the case pro bono because I would assume they think it’s a takeaway. There isn’t really much to say about a professional MMA fighter choking out a civilian with relatively zero combat – no combat excuse.
“I think he’ll probably be walking away with a pretty healthy cheque."
Diaz, who is set to fight Jake Paul in August, was arrested following his altercation with Peterson but insists he acted in self-defence against a ‘trained fighter’ who was aggressively pursuing him.
‘The Maverick’ accepted that Diaz may be able to fight any case coming his way as Peterson was clearly approaching him in footage of the incident.
“I just never thought that looking like me would get you fast-tracked to getting guillotined on Bourbon Street by a professional MMA fighter Nate Diaz,” Paul added.

“The issue was he was walking toward him, and what you said, you can go from [hands up to punching]. But it’s Nate Diaz, that’s the thing and maybe Nate felt like he was in danger or something.”
Despite the fact he’s facing criminal charges and a lawsuit, Diaz is feeling relaxed about the situation and even joked about choking out Peterson during Tuesday’s pre-fight press conference with 'The Problem Child.'
“You going to act like that wasn’t Logan? C’mon, man,” he joked when Jake asked him if he thought he was putting Logan to sleep during his infamous street brawl.
“It is Logan. What are you talking about? You guys saw what happened to Logan? Is he here? Shout-out to Logan. He’s going to be alright. You don’t just hit people out there. That’s f****** dangerous. Give them a little nap.”
Diaz will appear in court on second-degree battery charges next month.
If convicted, he faces up to eight years in prison and/or $2,000 in fines.
