The best WR to add this week
Who is the best WR addition on the wire in Week 7?
Kansas City receiver Rashee Rice is the best option out there on the waiver wire. With Justin Watson out, and no true WR1 in place outside of Travis Kelce, Rice seems to be the one emerging as a consistent performer for the Chiefs. Last week he had four catches for 72 yards and this week they will face the Chargers, who have given up major yards through the air to everyone in the league. Rice may not get heavy targets — because who is, outside of the hall of fame tight end? — but he has been and will likely continue to make the most of his opportunities.

Buy low RBs
Buy low RB candidates?
The Baltimore Ravens can not quit the Gus Bus. Gus Edwards is being rostered in 50-60% of leagues and if you traded for him he would not cost much (or at least he shouldn't). However, there is no doubt in my mind that the Ravens will give him enough opportunities that at some point he is going to be valuable. It also does not hurt that the Ravens seem snakebit at the position and eventually Edwards may just be the last man standing.
Time to drop Quentin Johnston?
Is it time to drop Quentin Johnston and go another direction?
It seems that way. It is hard to see his targets and production increasing, especially if they have not since Mike Williams has been out. No change in production from the number three guy when the number two guy goes out with a season-ending injury is definitely alarming. If you can afford to hold on to him obviously do it because we never truly know, but if you can use that roster spot to strengthen your team, definitely do so.
Most added players on CBS
Here are the most added players on CBS after Tuesday night's waiver wire run:
Kareem Hunt vs. Jordan Mason/Elijah Mitchell
Who would you rather waiver to start next week, Kareem Hunt or Jordan Mason/Elijah Mitchell?
I would likely go with Hunt based on his performance against an elite defense. He can definitely duplicate these numbers against the Colts, who have a good defense but not to the level of the 49ers.
Mason is also a good waiver grab because all backs in that system thrive very similar to how quarterbacks in that system thrive. Is he going to give you CMC production, probably not but he should produce. We have seen him do it with CMC in the lineup.
The Gabe Davis conundrum
Can I ever trust Gabe Davis? He's a great bench performer and I get nothing when I flex him.
I struggle with this all the time. There may be nothing more frustrating in fantasy than a player who only seems to go off for big numbers when you have them on the bench. If your team does not need Davis to be a starter then maybe you don’t start him at all unless you really need him or until his performances become more consistent.

Is it time to move on from DeVonta Smith and Rachaad White? If so, who can I realistically get for them?
I am not sure why you would move on from Smith. Yes there have been some subpar performances over the last four games but he is capable of a Week 2 performance on any given week. If you feel like the matchup may be bad for him on a week to week basis, it's ok to think about benching him but you want Smith on your roster and ready to unleash him on an opponent.
With White, he is getting opportunities and he has been a good outlet for Baker Mayfield. Like Smith, he has had some down weeks but available productive backs are scarce and White is likely needed because he offers more value than any other back you can acquire.
Who do I drop?
Gonna have to drop a WR due to number restrictions in the league. Who would you recommend I drop among the following three? Jacoby Meyers, Mike Evans or Adam Thielen? Thanks
All three could break out for monster games. At first sight I would say definitely keep Evans because he has the most stable position of the three — but there have been signs that Evans is slowing down and, despite the targets, he is only producing top numbers regularly unless he finds the end zone. Thielen has been targeted so much that you absolutely can not afford to bench him on a roster unless you are loaded. Meyers has been a double digit scorer 3 of his five games this season and the arrow is pointing up. So as of right now, Evans would need to go but it is a decision I would likely keep a close eye on.
Another Sam Howell question!
When do I bench Trevor Lawrence in favor of Sam Howell?
I think Lawrence presents the most upside but it is hard to ignore Howell’s production in that Bienemy offense. Outside of the Buffalo game, Howell has been the more consistent fantasy scorer. It is not risky gamble to put Lawrence on the bench for Howell and keep an eye on the matchups that may be favorable for Lawrence — especially with Lawrence now banged up.
Sam Howell vs. Matthew Stafford
Lost Justin Fields... should I bid for Matthew Stafford or Sam Howell?
Even with Cooper Kupp back, Matthew Stafford has not been scoring on the level of fantasy starters in 2023. This could point to the shifting in the offense or to the decline in his performance. It is probably a mixture of both . Regardless, if the options are Stafford and Howell, Howell is the safer bet. His offense has been more offensively consistent and he has performed well as the trigger man.
